This is "Natalie Dylan" and she is selling her virginity for the small price of $1million dollars! Checks or credit cards are accepted but cash is preferred. She'd like to pay for graduate school and probably a few other bills, like a lawyer. Last time I looked prosititution was illegal - except in Neveda.
Now why didn't I think of this? My student loans are about $120K. Had I been this ingenius and someone else stupid enough to pay one million; I would have pocketed $880K!! Which I'd assume is tax free. That is a serious return on investment! There are so many issues here I don't even know where to start! I'm always astounded men pay for sex when they can get it for free. They can even get virgins for free. I'll will be absolutely flabergasted if someone actually pays for this. Excluding NBC of course; who isn't past using this to cast the new reality show "The Virgin". They'll have 15 men AND women Ms. Dylan will choose from to loose her virginity. I can see all the girl vs. boy fights now! Then NBC will fly them to Moonlite Bunny Ranch in Neveda for their very first cherry picking show! Since prime-time only shows everything but intercourse they'll just produce a video and sell it. A second cash cow. Which leads me to wonder; did Ms. Dylan specify the buyer should be a man or does she care? I doubt she cares who writes the check as long as they are writing the check.
The good news is that eBay is sticking to their guns and not allowing virginity to be auctioned. Whew, thank goodness the worlds largest faux gambling site has some morals. I would hate to see the aftermath of sexual capitalism when all the 13, 15, 17, and 25 year old virgins start auctioning their bodies for money. Women would probably rule the world, because clearly men continue to pay for sex. Do you think a 22 year old guy could sell his virginity for one million dollars? I wouldn't put it past a Scottsdale socialite-cougar to pay for it! The hard part would be hiding the payment from her husband since it's his money.
When and how did it become illegal to pay for sex or sell your body for money? Isn't it our body anyway? And how does this differ from all the online sex cams and exchanges for services? Selling sex has existed since human history has been recorded! In 6th Century BCE Greece had government-supported brothels. In 1611 King Henry II "discouraged but permitted" prostitution as long as brothels were inspected weekly. Maybe the Italians knew best in 1358 when they claimed prostitution was "absolutely indispensable to the world" and set up government-funded brothels in major cities during the 14th and 15th centuries. In 1494 there was an outbreak of syphillis in Naples and peoples attitude about prositution started to harden. By the 19th century the legalization of prostitution became an issue and various laws were passed. In 1910 and 1915 the once legal prostitution became illegal in the United States, except of course for eleven counties in Neveda.
So why did things change? Suffice it to say many of the progressive leaders of the time were educated middle-class men. The Civil War created economic expansion and society's social problems were no longer considered inevitable. They believed science, medicine and new reforms could improve society by eradicating such problems. Keep in mind, the pure food and drugs laws and antitrust regulations were also produced during this time. It was the begining of America as we know it - regulated food, sex and business!
So maybe "Natalie Dylan" is really just doing business - selling a product for money. In Sweden it's legal to sell sex, it's just illegal to buy sex. Go figure! Maybe from a business perspective what she is doing is not all that wrong. Isn't it about supply and demand anyway? If there is a demand for virginal sex why can't she sell it? It's her body - but hey that doesn't stop the Repulicans who would like to overturn Roe vs. Wade. They don't believe in choice. So where is morality in all this? Or maybe we should just focus on the immorality. That however, might lead into religion and even the bible had prostitutes. There were women who offered to have sex for money or favors. They also had "sacred" or "temple" prostitutes who had sex with the worshipers of gods and godesses in the temple. I bet they did a lot of taking in tongues!
I'm left with many questions and would love to hear what it makes you think or any questions it raises!
